Today has been a strange old day. I am continuing to see amazing signs of improvement in my mobility and pain levels, for which we continue to thank our incredible God.
I've also been feeling fairly poorly, with generalised aching and low grade fever. We aren't sure why so we are keeping an eye on things, especially in light of the serious systemic infection I suffered a week or so following Noah's delivery. Back then it landed me in maternity high dependency for a week so we obviously have a heightened awareness of all signs of infection. It has made me a little edgy today.
It certainly didn't help that Noah managed to nearly break his foot this afternoon! He is incapable of walking anywhere, even in the house. He hurtles around every corner. Today he hurtled into the radiator pipe. Hard! Fortunately it became clear he was just badly bruised but it was looking dangerously like an A&E trip with Daddy was on the cards for a while there!
After that drama we tried for a quiet, calm afternoon and ended up having some beautiful bonding moments together as a family as well as individually with our new little sweetheart. We are so in love with him.
Film and cuddles as a family - including Sketch.
This guy. The best Daddy a boy could ask for. Two boys in fact!
Lots of lovely bonding and getting to know our gorgeous Reuben.
Even Sketch seems to have accepted this tiny little new family member and has appointed himself Reuben's guard dog/baby sitter!
