Meet "Flat Stanley"! He is Noah's little exchange buddy who joined us from Texas shortly before Christmas. He was sent "across the pond" to visit us by a lovely American girl called Hannah.
Hannah sent him with his passport and his journal and our job is to show Flat Stanley around where we live and then let him go home to Hannah eventually and teach her all kinds of new things about the UK, Wales specifically.
It's been pretty crazy busy these past few days what with Christmas and things but we haven't forgotten about Stanley.
We brought him across the country with us to stay at Noah's Granny and Grandad's house for the Christmas holidays.
So Hannah, these Flat Stanley Blog posts are mostly for you, to show you how he's getting on and what he's been getting up to.
The first evening we had Stanley, we read the Christmas story to baby Reuben with him, using a pop-up book.
That weekend Noah was invited to a class friend's birthday party and we checked if they had room for one more guest; they did!
Flat Stanley went to meet some friends for a Sunday dinner too and got to play cars with them...
After a few days recovering from his transatlantic flight, Flat Stanley was gearing up for a new adventure:
From Wales to London, England. Noah's granny came to help his mummy travel in the train (her back is too poorly for the car as it is a long drive). This is the travelling team ready to set off on the train:
Noah's Daddy drove the car to meet s all in London and be together for Christmas.
One of the bonuses of doing this was thatStanley got to see the capital of England, including:
Some classic London cabs.
And a big red bus.
He also saw Big Ben, winter wonderland, Trafalgar Square, Park Lane and the London eye. He had quite the tourist experience!
