Considering Sketch hates dogs, this little stint of having my parents' two pooches staying with us is going incredibly well so far!
Turns out that facing your fears works as a method for dogs as well as humans in overcoming phobias!! For the past year we've just had to keep on keeping on with mixing Sketch, Alfie and Meg and in the past month or so, it's like it has clicked for Sketch. He doesn't need to be permanently on edge around the other two. They are "safe" :) The fact that he is sitting in Alfie and Meg's bed *with* Meg is nothing short of incredible, considering that not long ago he wouldn't even settle down if either of the other dogs were within 8 metres of him. (Measurement approximate!!!)
Amazing.
