Bank holidays: my favourite

So far so good in looking after two extra living creatures this week. Today we ventured out with the three pooches and the one mini human for an adventure all around a large local country park.

As we set off, I did wonder if we were being too optimistic about all four small ones in our charge being able to behave, plus the fact that we were embarking upon a route we had never walked. We weren't even that sure that the path we had found would lead us to the country park we love and often walk in. But where's the fun in knowing everything ahead of time?

So off we went. This was my view.

For the boys of this family, there is always time for a little jumping!

One section of the walk ran alongside the sea, pretty far up on the coastal path. Really beautiful.

Another photo-editing opportunity not to be missed. And chocolate to refuel Noah, bless him.

Sadly, as in all good adventures, there was a painful incident. Noah's first brush with stinging nettles. And the whole woodland realm knew about it, the poor boy really felt those stings.

Luckily for him we know two cures. Dock leaves and ice cream!
