You make me brave

This song has been one among a handful which have hugely encouraged me over the past six months. Courage isn't the absence of fear, it is facing fear head on. I'm certain someone somewhere said that long ago but it is something God has been impressing on us in various ways this past year or so. I am naturally not brave. Even in the strength of Jesus I frequently fall far short of being anything close to brave, but this song has encouraged me to keep pressing in, to remember that God is my strength and as His Word says, "The Lord is my Light and my salvation, of whom shall I be afraid?" (psalm 27)
