This afternoon, Noah's little buddy came to play and while he was with us another friend, who happens to also be a neighbour, turned up with her three girls. We considered getting the paddling pool all filled up but quickly saw the opportunity for free manual labour...! (Just kidding).
Who doesn't love a car washing session as an excuse for an all-out water fight on a (rare) hot summer's day ;)
The kids all got stuck in, with the big ones "washing our car"/soaking Vi and each other, and the little ones starting off on the dinky little red car. Also known as Reuben's pride and joy! They soon progressed to helping with the big car, at which point there was no time for photos. When an 18 month old and a 15 month old, both of whom are very much early toddlers, start heading downhill on gravel at speed, it's time to put the camera down and be ready to catch!
The kids had a ball and we loved watching them. It's this kind of good, old-fashioned fun in the sun that makes it worth the wait for the very few summery days we have in this country. Happy memories made :)
